Course Accreditation

All students will receive an official certificate of attendance directly from the Business Continuity Institute (BCI). Completion of this course entitles delegates to 16 CPE credits.

Course Methodology

The learning methodology uses a mixture of presentations, discussions, case studies, video content and interactive exercises and knowledge checks to transform participant knowledge into hands-on practice in a safe environment.

Course Description

This course provides an in-depth look into the Analysis stage of the Business Continuity Management (BCM) Lifecycle. It provides the student with the opportunity to gain a deeper knowledge and understanding of this key skill area in order to plan and perform a BIA and Risk & Threat Assessment in their organisation as the base for a resilient Business Continuity Management System.

The course is broken down into modules, exploring the concept of Business Impact Analysis as well as the practical application using a number of different case studies. This course is based on the BCI Good Practice Guidelines and reflects the current global thinking from ISO 22301:2019 and ISO 22317:2021.

Module 1 - Concepts of BIA
Module 2 - The 4 Types of BIA
Module 3 - BIA Methods
Module 4 - How the BIA information are used in the Design phase of the BCM Lifecycle

Course Fees

The course fees include the BCI royalty fees as well as the learning material. The BCI uses data from the World Bank to determine the pricing structure. The course fees are depending on the place of residency/ company registration. Please contact us for pricing details.
